LabRat Studio

What's in a name? In this case, another name. Rather than go the usual route of "my name is my url," going by another route that speaks more towards my philosophy on design seemed a better choice. With the full name of Leigh Anne Bader (or LAB) it was an easy step to take those initials and my thoughts on design to create Labrat Studio.

Being a designer is in many ways very similar to being a scientist. Instead of test tubes and dangerous chemicals threatening to go boom, a designer plays with color and form, creativity and functionality. While much safer for one's physical health, it can be a tricky process that requires a good deal of thought and planning while simultaneously conducting countless experiments in order to find the most efficient methods to convey clear messages in aesthetically pleasing ways. The art or design is a lifelong learning process and is a task that I take with great enjoyment. As such, I will always be experimenting away to push ideas and concepts to their fullest potential.

I may not be running through mazes (except perhaps when wading neck-deep in code) but I'll gladly roll up my sleeves and work the tools of my trade to find solutions so that we all can reward ourselves with a chunk of cheese at the end.
